I am so excited to introduce you to all of my amazing quilters that tested Cross Track. This meant the world to me to see these quilts come to life as this was my very first pattern to write. Thanks to Quilter's Candy Quilt Pattern Writing Course. It is so incredible to see something I designed come to life and how each one has a totally different feel. I have enjoyed getting to know each one of these talented testers and would love for you to get to know them as well. Even better get to see the amazing quilts they created.
Cassie of @sewshequilts4love pattern tested a Lap size of Cross Track. I just love that Cassie used prints for her Cross Track Quilt. Check out Cassie on Instagram here.
Where do you live? I live in MD with my husband and 3 daughters.
How long have you been quilting? I have been quilting for 20 years (my husband gave me a sewing machine for our first Christmas together)
Why do you pattern test? I test quilt patterns because I want to help designers put their best work into the world. I know that sounds cheesy, but it's true. Getting a sneak peek at what patterns are coming soon is also fun. :)
What do you love about Cross Track? I love how Cross Tracks comes together. It was fun to see how different the pattern could look just because of fabric placement and fabric choices. Did the maker go light to dark? Did they use solids or prints? All the versions I've seen are gorgeous!!
What was your inspiration or colors used for Cross Track? The inspiration for the fabrics I used for Cross Tracks was that I had enough :P! I'm really trying to sew from my stash when possible. I made over 600 surgical caps during the peak of the pandemic and I have lots of fabric/scraps leftover from those. I really loved one of those fabrics and ordered everything I could find from the line that quiltablefabrics.com had to be used in a quilt one day. I just happened to have enough of each one to make this quilt!! It's called Chelsea from Whistler Studios for Windham Fabrics. One of my fabrics, the light blue, is not from the line, but I finally used every last scrap of it from the surgical caps!!
What is one quilting goal you have? I would really like to finish up a few WIP quilt tops this year! I'm working on finding the balance between making new quilts and quilting/binding the pile of tops I have from the past several (read 5-10) years.

Some amazing progress pictures. How organized?
Also, check out Cassie's points. Wow!! Incredible.
