Sarah of @feather_and_flint_quilts pattern tested a Baby size of Home Track. It turned out so cute and who can resist some Jessica Swift fabric? Check out Sarah on Instagram here.
Where do you live? Napa, CA
How long have you been quilting? 7 years
Why do you pattern test? I love pattern testing because I learn new quilting
techniques. I also enjoy the process of matching fabric to the quilt pattern.
What do you love about Home Track? The Home Track quilt was fun to make. I enjoy both the design of the quilt and the process of making the quilt. It is a very versatile quilt pattern that looks beautiful with many different color palettes. The Home Track quilt was so much fun to work on. I highly encourage you to try it out, too!
What was your inspiration or colors used for Home Track? The fabrics used for the quilt design and backing are from the Path to Discovery fabric line by Jessica Swift for AGF
Fabrics. The background fabric is Hazelwood Flowered Bosk, also by AGF fabric.
What is one quilting goal you have? In terms of quilting goals, I would love to conquer round shapes on quilts. I have been avoiding them because I have had tons of other projects to distract me from trying out circular piecing. I’m hoping to have extra time in the next year or two to start exploring rounded shapes on pieced quilts.
What is your favorite quilting tool you have? My favorite quilting notion is my Gypsy Quilter thread cutter. It makes chaining pieces fast and easy. My favorite quilting
tool is my Handiquilter Pro-Stitcher. After 7 years of free motion long arming, I upgraded to a computerized system and I love it!
