Starburst is my 5th pattern but has been years in the making. I sat down one day just to play around with Adobe Illustrator and I ended up designing the 'star' in this quilt. I immediately envisioned this quilt as the cover quilt you see today with the pink and greyish white colors with an asymmetrical design. There is not much asymmetrical in the quilty world so I thought it was really special and different. All I see looking at my Cover Quilt is 'Starburst'.... Strawberry Starbursts to be exact. Hence the name.
I then wanted a very dark quilt much like the 'Dark Sky' so that is where my Blue/Black version was created from. I absolutely love this pattern and cannot wait to see your version. Please share it with me once you get it made. I would love to see it!

- My dark blue/black version that I call 'Dark Sky' is also a Throw size using Moda Bella Solids in Prussian Blue, Sprigs in Black and Endpaper from Curio Collection by Melody Miller for Ruby Star Society. It was also longarm quilted by Sheila Shepherd of @thirty4stitches using the pantograph Southern Belle Floral by The Quilting Mill.
